1 Down....

After much contemplation, we decieded to stay at Ubud area for our first 3 nights at Bali. Heard that it's central location for us to use as a base for sightseeing, which is good cos I hate to spend long hrs in cars/coaches.

Had booked my accomodation and it will be Green Fields Hotel and Bungalows. Check out http://www.greenfieldubud.com/ for more information.

Initally wanted to book Tegal Sari but as they only have rooms for 2 nights, we decided to book with Green Field instead (which is apparently their next door neighbour).

Guess that's all I can afford to plan for my Bali trip as I seem to have endless work to clear this month...sigh.....

Really looking forward for this 1 week break in Mar..........

Planning for Bali

Despite the Xmas and New Year holidays, I'd yet to finish or rather start researching on Bali. Will be going in the last week of March for 6 nights.

As this is my 1st trip to Bali, I hope to act a bit more like a tourist and visit the temples and other attractions rather than bumming around on the beach.

Being greedy, I'm contemplating to stay at 2 different areas during this trip so that I can experience the different parts of Bali. But I'm faced with a self-imposed challenge - to reduce my accomodation expenses if possible to ease my "guilt" for travelling during the recession.

It will be helpful if any netizens can offer advice to me on where to visit in Bali and any good for value accomodation (below US$100).
